Description
- Role: Travel RN – NICU Level III/IV
- Facility: University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH)
- Location: Albuquerque, NM
- Contract: 13 weeks (minimum 10 weeks)
- Shift: Day, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
- Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed; facility may call off 3 times per contract
- Weekly Pay: Not provided
- Experience: 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
- Patient Ratio: Typically 1:3; occasionally 1:4 during surges
- Certifications: BLS/BCLS and NRP
- License: Pending license accepted
- Charting System: Cerner
- Required Skills: Level IV NICU, PICU, IV vasopressors, high-frequency ventilation, HFNC, respiratory distress syndrome, and ventilator management
- Floating: Required to Level II NICU, Mother-Baby Unit (MBU), and PICU
- Weekend Requirement: 12 shifts per contract
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, or NYE and NYD)
- RTO: Maximum 7 days preferred; more than 7 days requires approval. No RTO during the first 7 days or last day of the contract
- Locals: Not accepted within 100 miles
- Vaccination: Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed. COVID vaccine optional
- Scrubs: Black
- Parking: Free
- Compliance: Documents due 10 days before start; drug screen within 30 days of start
