LVN – Correctional Facility

Job Details

Shift: 1:45 PM–10:15 PM, Wednesday–Sunday
Training: 1 week, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract: 147 weeks listed — confirm actual duration
Setting: Correctional healthcare facility
Weekend Requirement: Yes, Wednesday–Sunday schedule
Break: 30 minutes listed

Required Qualifications

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Ability to provide nursing care in a correctional facility
Medication administration and prescribed treatments
Patient assessment and reporting changes to the RN/Primary Care Provider
Accurate clinical documentation
Assist with clinic appointments, physical exams, and minor procedures

Required Certifications

BLS
Core Mandatory Exam (Allied/Non-Nursing)

Key Responsibilities

Provide basic nursing and hygiene care.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Monitor patient status and report findings promptly.
Assist the RN and provider with examinations and minor procedures.
