RN – Behavioral Health (Inpatient Psych)

Job Details

Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Weekend: Every other weekend / as needed
Call: None
Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:8; lower ratios for geriatric and pediatric units
EHR: Cerner
Floating: Required
Scheduling: Block scheduling not available
Orientation: Every other Tuesday
Scrubs: Blue

Patient Population

Adults
Geriatric patients
Pediatric patients, ages 5–17

Common diagnoses: Schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
Previous behavioral health experience.
Must be willing to work with both adult and pediatric patients.
Graduate of an accredited BSN, ADN, or nursing diploma program.
Current Massachusetts RN license.

Required Certifications

BLS/BCLS — required.
HWC — required by the facility posting.
ACLS — preferred.
