Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience.
• License: Active New York RN license REQUIRED at submission. Pending licenses not accepted; NY is not a compact state.
• Certifications:
  • BLS – REQUIRED
  • NIHSS – REQUIRED (must include valid certification with submission).
• Charting: Epic experience REQUIRED – hard requirement.
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted according to the narrative; structured qualifications conflict.
• Charge Nurse Experience: Preferred, not required.

Required Clinical Skills

• Med/Surg Telemetry nursing and cardiac monitoring.
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Recognition of patient deterioration and activation of Rapid Response/Code teams.
• IV therapy, peripheral line management, and phlebotomy.
• Oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and noninvasive airway management.
• Isolation precautions and infection prevention.
• Care of adult and geriatric patients.

Submission & Compliance Requirements

• RTO: Maximum 10 days. All RTO, block scheduling, and special requests must be disclosed at submission.
• License: Active NY RN license must be in hand before submission.
• NIHSS: Valid certification must be included with submission.
• Epic: Prior experience is mandatory.
• Local Candidates: RNs within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible.
• Former Employees: Must be separated from the Rochester Regional Health system for at least 6 months.
• Background: Reviewed case by case.
• Foreign Education: Notify the account manager at submission if education requires verification.
• Modules: Up to 5 hours billable; additional time is nonbillable. Modules may total approximately 10 hours.
• Multiple Submissions: Allowed within the system.

Biggest Submission Deal-Breakers

• No active New York RN license at submission.
• No previous Epic charting experience.
• Missing BLS or NIHSS certification.
• Less than 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• RN resides within 75 miles of the hospital.
• More than 10 days of requested time off.
• Unwilling to float within skillset.
• Unable to work every other weekend or required holidays.
