Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ER experience specified in the description; skills section states 3 years required. Confirm the client's minimum.
• License: Active New York RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS — American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• NIHSS: Required.
• Burn Care: Highly desirable, ideally 1 year of experience.

Preferred certifications: TNCC, ATCN, or ABLS.

Unit & Clinical Environment

• 18 general-care beds
• 1 critical-care bed
• 4 urgent-care beds
• Shared 7-bed trauma bay with the adult ED
• Provides family-centered emergency care for patients under 19 years old.
• Handles cases ranging from treat-and-release visits to complex pediatric emergencies, critical care, trauma, and burns.

Additional Schedule Expectations

• Weekends and holidays
• On-call and callback responsibilities
• Charge duties as required by the unit
• Rotating shifts based on unit needs
