• Unit: 3B/3C Stroke Telemetry
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry / Stroke
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Day Shift, 3x12)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 90 weeks
• Unit Size: 34 beds

Job Responsibilities:

• Care for acute stroke patients and complex telemetry patients.
• Perform frequent neurological assessments and NIH Stroke Scale evaluations.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes.
• Follow stroke protocols, including swallowing screenings and patient education.
• Administer medications safely using barcode medication administration (BCMA).
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Handle admissions, discharges, fall prevention, and overall patient safety.

Required Certifications and Skills:

• Active RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) requirements.
• Must be able to read basic cardiac rhythm strips before starting.
• Experience with telemetry and stroke patients is beneficial.
