Cath Lab Technician

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:00

Schedule

• 4 ten-hour shifts, 7a-5:30p, Monday through Friday
• On-call every 5th weekend (Friday through Sunday) and 1 day a week
• Holiday requirement noted (details not specified)

Required Qualifications

• Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, required for all direct patient care personnel (required for onboarding)

Onboarding Requirements

Health and Immunizations

• 10-panel drug screen (no THC), completed within 30 days of start and resulted with MRO signature before start
• TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (QuantiFERON or T-SPOT); a positive result requires a chest X-ray within the last year in MI, IN, CT, and MA, or within 5 years in all other regions
• Physical/health statement from an exam within the last year confirming fitness to work
• Fit test
• Color vision test
• MMR: 2 vaccinations with dates, or a primary source IgG titer with lab printout
• Varicella: 1 vaccination with date, or a primary source IgG titer with lab printout
• Hepatitis B series: dose 1 before start, dose 2 at 30 days, dose 3 at 6 months; titers not accepted
• Tdap within the past 10 years (declination accepted only where the site allows and the assignment does not involve pediatric interaction)
• Influenza vaccine for the 2025-2026 season (10/1/2025-4/30/2026), or declination/exemption on agency letterhead
• COVID-19 vaccine proof (September 2025 booster), or declination/exemption on agency letterhead; declinations not accepted in CA or IL

Background, Verification, and Administrative

• Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, and county, last 7 years, plus SSN verification), dated within 30 days of start
• NSO sex offender registry check, dated within 30 days of start (MI also requires statewide search)
• Motor vehicle report, dated within 30 days of start
• Education verification (highest level of education, or high school diploma/GED)
• EPLS and OIG exclusion checks, dated within 30 days of start
• Child abuse clearance and PATCH check for Pennsylvania, completed within 30 days of start
• Fingerprinting (state and department specific)
• License or certification verification, dated within 30 days of start, if the position requires one
