Operating Room Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Kingsport, Tennessee
• Day shift: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• 1 year of Operating Room experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Compliance and Onboarding

• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online CBLs
• Background check required within 30 days of start
• Education verification required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check required within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check required within 30 days of start
• Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry check required for candidates licensed or certified in Tennessee or working at a Tennessee facility
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Drug screen required within 14 days of start
• Fit testing completed onsite for candidates with patient contact
• Photo for badge required within 48 hours of signed contract
• Staff info form required within 24 hours of signed contract
• Respirator medical evaluation questionnaire required within 48 hours of signed contract

Health Documentation

• TB clearance or chest X-ray required
• Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation required
• Hepatitis B documentation required
• Varicella immunity documentation required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season

• Candidate is expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
