Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Greenwich, Connecticut
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule (2 Fridays and 2 Thursdays)
- Call Requirement: As needed by department
- Facility Size: 186 beds
- Facility Type: Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- EMR System: Epic
- Parking: Free parking in any unrestricted space
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients and High Risk patients
- Experience with Labor and Delivery management including:
- Assisting with high-risk deliveries
- Circulating for C-sections
- Recovering C-sections
- Performing sterile vaginal exams
- Experience with triage of obstetrical patients
- Experience with IUPC (intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration
- IV therapy/phlebotomy experience including maintenance of central lines (CVC/PICC)
- Medication administration experience with anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
- Certifications required:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
- AWHONN Intermediate
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
