Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)


Job Description

  • Outpatient setting
  • Mammography experience required for screening procedures
  • Preferred experience in diagnostic mammography, stereotactic biopsies, and digital mammography
  • PACS skills preferred
  • Experience with Cerner and Hologic Dimensions systems required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in Indiana
  • Minimum 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment
  • Experience in an outpatient setting
  • Experience with Cerner system
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Background checks including 7-year history, SSN trace, county/state/national checks, and education verification
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 12 months of start date (instant tests not accepted)
  • Physical exam completed within 12 months of start date
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start date (N95 or approved respirators)
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
    • Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
    • Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
    • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted; history not accepted)
    • Hepatitis B: Series, titer, or signed declination required
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Strongly recommended (not required)
  • Tuberculosis screening within 1 year of start date (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31)
  • Color blind exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with minimum 100% score on online test

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment verified within 2 years; references must be from charge, manager, supervisor, or higher
  • Current employment application with full work history and explanations for any gaps over 30 days (covering last 7 years)
  • Skills checklist completed within 12 months and updated annually
  • Completion of facility-specific compliance, confidentiality, and orientation documents prior to start
