Role Summary

Provides nursing care for patients before, during, and after angiography, interventional cardiac catheterization, and other diagnostic procedures. Duties include pre-procedure assessment, sedation monitoring, patient education, assisting with procedures, and supporting recovery care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Infusion (2 years of experience)
• Infusion experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Oncology experience

Preferred

• Recent travel work history

Key Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care for catheterization and angiography cardiovascular patients
• Assists with stress testing, echocardiograms, cardioversions, transesophageal echocardiograms, and other interventional radiology procedures
• Evaluates patients for safety before testing
• Inserts PICC lines using ultrasound guidance
• Operates and maintains cardiac and nursing equipment
• Scrubs in for procedures with the physician
• Documents procedure-related information and develops cardiovascular education materials
• Participates in patient transport when higher-level care is needed
