Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Raleigh, North Carolina
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- CVICU (1 year of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Education
- Nursing Diploma, or
- ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
Preferred Education
- BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting
- Assess patient, family, and caregiver learning needs and provide education support
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust the plan of care as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
- Provide care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
- Prioritize care, discharge planning, and use of multidisciplinary resources
- Support unit goals, performance improvement, communication, and safe care practices
