Registered Nurse - Telemetry Stepdown

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: Nights and every other weekend
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Float Assignments: CVSU, Cardiopulmonary, Heart and Vascular Step Down, Complex Medical Stepdown, Cardiology Telemetry Stepdown

Unit Description

28-bed Cardiac Medical Stepdown unit specializing in recovery after vascular and electrophysiology procedures
Care for patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrhythmias, syncope, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure
Provides cardiac monitoring for all patient populations
Manages titration of multiple intravenous medications and conscious sedation for cardioversions
Suitable for nurses interested in transitioning to an ICU setting

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Stepdown nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Telemetry and Stepdown experience
Ability to interpret heart rhythms
Experience with cardiac drips such as amiodarone, Lasix, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, milrinone, etc.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
