• 4 North Cardiac Telemetry
• Main Campus
• 29 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:4

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Experience reading and interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips
• Experience with post cardiac procedural care including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open heart, and permanent pacemaker placements
• Experience administering and titrating IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS

Unit Details

• Staffing includes Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs
• Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, dinamap in each room, 3 Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, Telemetry monitor, EKG Machine, Bladder Scanner, Doppler, and Imobile for communication between team members
• Procedures performed on the unit include IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, Chest Tube maintenance, Temporary Pacemakers, and Foley insertions
• Must work full time hours, including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
• Contract nurses may be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency
• Uses Meditech
