Unit Details

Emergency department with approximately 180–200 visits per day
Patient mix includes pediatrics through geriatrics, trauma, neuro trauma, ortho, and CVA
1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
2-shift floor orientation during week one
Caribbean blue scrubs only

Support Services

Charge nurse available
Nurse aides/paramedics available
Security/patient sitters available
Central monitoring tech available
Respiratory therapy available 24/7
Pharmacy available 24/7
Lab draws are performed by nurses
Nurses start their own IVs
