Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse at The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus

Position Details

Shift Information

• Night Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s
• Holiday Requirement: Must work at least every other holiday

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Permanent Experience: 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments
• Licensure: Must have a valid Ohio license or a compact state license in hand
• Certifications Required:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Additional Requirements

• Identification: Government-issued photo ID required while on assignment
• Background Check: Required prior to start of assignment
• References: 2 references required from employment within the last year, from a manager or supervisor
• Application: Must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Required within a year of start
• Fit Mask: Required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap vaccine required every 10 years
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 12 months of start
  • Other immunizations as specified (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)

Competencies and Testing

• Competency Exam: Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start
• Pass/Fail Testing: EKG and medication testing required during orientation

Onboarding Process

• Modules: Completion of online training modules required prior to start
• Fingerprinting: BCI and FBI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start
