Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Madison, Wisconsin
- Evening/night schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 4:00 pm–midnight
- Weekend rotation: 1:4 weekends, with weekend shifts of 2:00 pm–10:00 pm or 3:00 pm–11:00 pm
- Contract length: 26 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Medical Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Medical Technologist experience within the last year
- ASCP
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
- Experience in a Hospital setting
- Experience on the microbiology bench
Compliance / Onboarding
- Employment application required
- 2 clinical references within the last 3 years
- Skills checklist required annually
- Wisconsin caregiver screening and Wisconsin BID form required within 90 days of start
- Background check required
- Drug screen required
- TB questionnaire required
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Hepatitis B documentation or declination required for direct patient care or potential blood/body fluid exposure
- MMR, varicella, and rubeola documentation or approved exemptions required
- Color blind testing required for candidates working in Laboratory
- Physical exam required by Aya standard
- Photo for badge required
Additional Notes
- Meningococcal vaccination or declination is preferred for candidates working in Microbiology Department
