Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Schedule

Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Guaranteed hours
Block scheduling accommodations available
No on-call required

Job Description

Work primarily in the Emergency Department (ED) with cross-training and floating to other campuses and ED observation units
Average nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6 (both day and night)
Assigned to one campus with possible rotation to other campuses and ED observation
Travelers will not be assigned trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units
Level 1 Trauma experience is required
Must float within scope to meet facility needs

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
Trauma experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
