Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work primarily in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, procedural areas, ICU, or ER
- Moderate sedation administration for procedures required
- IV start experience required
- Possible float to Cath Lab holding area
- On-call requirement: one weekend call every 4-6 weeks, plus weekday call once every other week
- No holiday requests off allowed
- Orientation available on two dates prior to start
Required Qualifications
- Active District of Columbia RN license
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, procedural areas, ICU, or ER (use higher years if discrepancy)
- Prior travel experience required: at least 1 previous travel assignment completed
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Flu vaccine required (or approved exemption)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, with annual TB questionnaire
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- N95 fit test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
- Medication, pharmacology, competency, and dysrhythmia/EKG exams required with passing scores (80% or higher) and specific EKG lethal rhythm section at 100%
- Annual safety manual acknowledgement

- A valid driver’s license is required if driving on behalf of the employer is an essential job function
- Flu vaccine exemptions are rarely approved and require facility approval
- Background checks and verifications must be updated every 3 years or if there is a 6-month gap in service
- Drug screen and background check attestations are required prior to start
- Facility requires strict adherence to all health and safety documentation and certifications
