Registered Nurse - PCU (Night Shift) - Indianapolis, Indiana
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Medical PCU (Progressive Care Unit) with almost ICU-level acuity
- Staffing Ratio: 1:5
- Patient Acuity: Multiple cardiac drips, stable ventilators, multi-organ failure, liver failure, pulmonary conditions
- Floating: May be required to float to Med-Surg, PCU, or ICU units with provided resources
- Weekend Work: Expected to work every other weekend; consecutive weekends may be required based on operational needs
- Charge Nurse: Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with training and resources provided
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Experience in charge nurse roles
- Proficient in titration of cardiac drips
- Skilled in management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
