Shift

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Schedule Requirements

• Every-other-weekend schedule, Saturday/Sunday
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification
• Active ACLS certification
• Must pass a cardiac rhythm exam
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must provide an unexpired driver’s license
• Must live within 50 miles of the assignment

Unit Details

• Float pool assignment across multiple units
• Most frequent float units: 6N and 7N
• Other possible float units: 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care
• Typical patient ratio is 1:5-6
• RN does not titrate drips
• CNAs are available on all units
• CPAP and BiPAP are managed by respiratory therapy
• Most units have monitor techs

Orientation

• 1-2 shifts with a preceptor

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
