Shift
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Schedule Requirements
- Every-other-weekend schedule, Saturday/Sunday
- Holiday rotation with permanent staff
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS certification
- Active ACLS certification
- Must pass a cardiac rhythm exam
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Must provide an unexpired driver’s license
- Must live within 50 miles of the assignment
Unit Details
- Float pool assignment across multiple units
- Most frequent float units: 6N and 7N
- Other possible float units: 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care
- Typical patient ratio is 1:5-6
- RN does not titrate drips
- CNAs are available on all units
- CPAP and BiPAP are managed by respiratory therapy
- Most units have monitor techs
Orientation
- 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs
