Overview

• Role: Progressive Care Unit RN
• Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3x12, 7a-7p, with weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous nursing experience
• BSN

Role Summary

• Provides direct patient care on the unit, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admission/transfer/discharge activities, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning
• Performs comprehensive assessments, develops and implements care plans, delegates appropriately, and monitors delegated care
• Supports discharge planning, unit-based activities, quality improvement, and core measures
• Uses evidence-based practice, current research, and a holistic approach to patient care
