Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico

Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinical care and coordinates patient care specific to the age group served in the Emergency Department. The RN ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. The role requires professionalism, respect for patients, families, staff, and physicians, and adherence to the mission and goals of the unit.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS Certification or ENPC issued by the American Heart Association
- TNCC or ATCN certification
- CPI certification
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
- Clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment
- Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations
- Prolonged standing and walking; physical effort required for patient positioning and equipment handling
- Requires good visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination
Additional Information
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating, up to 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
- On Call: Not required but may be placed on call if census is low
- Floating: Yes, may be floated to other units as needed due to census or acuity changes
