Overview

Travel RN role in Asheville, North Carolina.
Unit is based on the 5th floor of Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower).
40-bed cardiac stepdown/progressive care unit.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
ACLS
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
Stepdown experience
Telemetry experience
Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications such as nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drip, heparin, bumetanide, or Lasix

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin)
Relief charge experience

Unit Details

Patient population includes CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, Pulmonary Hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, post cardiac cath/stent, and post pacer/ICD/ablation
Typical procedure performed: bedside cardioversion
EMR: Cerner

Floating

May float to all MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding

Schedule

36 hours per week
Every other weekend
