Overview

Travel assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Accepts 48-hour guarantee

Unit Details

Cardiac Med-Surg unit
30 beds
Patient ratio: 1:6
Staffing includes 6 nurses per shift, a free CNC/charge nurse, a unit secretary on dayshift, and 3 PCTs per shift
Floating: rotation with other travel nurses
Scheduling: three full 12-hour shifts with 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
Cardiac Stepdown experience
BLS
ACLS
EKG/Cardiac Rhythm Identification
Familiarity with cardiac medications and drips

Preferred / Helpful Experience

Med-surg experience
Familiarity with cardiac medications/drips
Familiarity with Meditech

Clinical / Unit Notes

Cardiac drips titrated on the unit: Cardizem and heparin
Non-titratable drips on the unit: dopamine, dobutamine, amiodarone
Telemetry equipment includes GE telemetry and Rover
Other equipment includes portable WOWs and a Welch-Allen VS machine
12-lead EKG is present on the unit
Navy blue scrubs required
