Registered Nurse - Cardiology (Travel)

Location

Lewiston, Maine
37-bed unit specializing in Cardiology and Pulmonary care
Trauma Level III facility
Patient population includes post-op cath patients and those with cardiac conditions such as stroke, CHF, A-fib, arrhythmias, and cardiac caths/stents

Job Details

Travel assignment, approximately 13 weeks in length
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3 twelve-hour shifts per week)
36 hours guaranteed weekly
Every other weekend required
No call requirements
Float required to all units except M3; assist in Emergency Room as needed

Unit & Equipment

Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
Equipment includes Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators (x2 for transport), and EKG machines
Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac PCU (Progressive Care Unit), with at least some experience within the last year
Experience in Cardiology and Telemetry
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system

Additional Information

Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
Work environment includes a teaching hospital with Joint Commission accreditation
Location offers access to outdoor recreational activities and cultural amenities nearby
