Registered Nurse (PCU Telemetry) - Kearney, Nebraska

Job Details

Specialty: PCU Telemetry (Progressive Care Unit)
Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Unit Size: 21 beds
Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
Floating Requirements:
- Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed
- Float to ICU only for PCU patient status
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, if needed
Extra Shifts: Up to 2 mandatory extra shifts every 6 weeks

Required Qualifications

Current Nebraska or multi-state compact RN license
Certifications:
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Experience:
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Telemetry experience required
- Experience caring for post-Cath Lab patients
Ability to work in a traveler-friendly environment with many cardiac patients

Additional Information

This is a traveler-friendly facility
Nurses will be the first to float when needed
