Nurse Education Manager

Job Overview

Location: New York, NY
Schedule: 4x10 or 5x8; must be flexible for both
Shift: 7 AM
Hours: 40 per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Manager (1 year of experience)
Manager experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Med Surg experience
Stepdown experience

Responsibilities

Leads nursing practice and supports relationship-centered care
Serves as a role model and preceptor for new staff and students
Validates staff competency and provides feedback
Collaborates with nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary team
Oversees nursing education budget and record-keeping systems
Participates in meetings and research activities
Supports clinical excellence and age-appropriate care across the patient lifespan

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s in Nursing Education
Professional board certification in the clinical specialty

Additional Notes

ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification is required if assigned to oncology
