Nurse Education Manager
Job Overview
- Location: New York, NY
- Schedule: 4x10 or 5x8; must be flexible for both
- Shift: 7 AM
- Hours: 40 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Manager (1 year of experience)
- Manager experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Med Surg experience
- Stepdown experience
Responsibilities
- Leads nursing practice and supports relationship-centered care
- Serves as a role model and preceptor for new staff and students
- Validates staff competency and provides feedback
- Collaborates with nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary team
- Oversees nursing education budget and record-keeping systems
- Participates in meetings and research activities
- Supports clinical excellence and age-appropriate care across the patient lifespan
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s in Nursing Education
- Professional board certification in the clinical specialty
Additional Notes
- ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification is required if assigned to oncology
