Location
- Johnson City, New York
Schedule
- Night shift
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend

Job Summary
- Provides respiratory therapy services for inpatient, outpatient, staff, employee, and affiliated community group populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers respiratory therapy procedures.
- Performs aerosol therapy, secretion mobilization therapy, incentive spirometry, MDI therapy, suctioning, extubation, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP management, cough assist/vest therapy, high-flow cannula/humidifier management, pulmonary function screening, fit testing, pulse oximetry, adult and pediatric EKGs, arterial puncture and blood gas analysis, and blood gas quality control.
- Manages mechanical ventilation and ventilator alarms.
- Performs adult, pediatric, and neonatal BLS when necessary.
- Verifies physician orders and documents procedure results.
- Assists with departmental in-service education.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in New York
- Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Experience
- 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Experience in critical care and NICU.
- Experience with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators.
Additional Notes
- Travelers must be able to participate in external patient transports.
