Radiologic Technologist

Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Job Summary

• Perform general diagnostic radiology procedures following departmental protocols and policies.
• Obtain and maintain ARRT (Radiography) credentials with active status.
• Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information, exam requests, and image quality.
• Critique, orient, save, and transmit quality-assured images to PACS.
• Document procedure completion or cancellation in RIS and maintain image management equipment.
• Use RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems effectively for documentation and order modifications.
• Verify patient identity and history, including pregnancy status before radiation exposure.
• Assess patient condition to determine need for additional medical personnel or equipment.
• Assist patients requiring extra attention and respond to emergency situations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report equipment issues.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
• ARRT certification in Radiography with registry status maintained annually
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year (0 years of experience acceptable)
