Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a Diagnostic Radiology position at a large academic medical center, with a primary focus on portable X-ray imaging.

Details

• Large academic medical center setting in a Diagnostic Radiology department
• Primary responsibility is performing portable X-ray exams throughout the facility
• Weekend duties include portables and C-arm procedures, requiring OR experience
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
• Holiday coverage required as needed per facility schedule

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; must maintain active registry status and annual continuing education requirements
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required
• Large hospital experience with portable imaging required
• C-arm and OR experience required for weekend assignments
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general diagnostic radiographic exams including portable studies and C-arm procedures in the OR
• Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, confirm pregnancy status prior to ionizing radiation, and assess physical condition to develop an appropriate examination plan
• Critique, orient, and transmit QA-reviewed images to PACS, and document all procedure completions and cancellations in RIS
• Utilize RIS, PACS, CIS, and HMS systems to access study data, document procedure status, and ensure accurate image delivery
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report equipment issues to appropriate resources
• Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations and assist patients requiring additional attention
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Background check and drug screen required prior to start; results must be completed through a designated vendor
