Job Details

Shift: Evening, 4x12 hour shifts (13:00 to 01:00)
Schedule: 36/48 hour alternating schedule; facility schedules 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
May consider 4x12s with 72-hour biweekly guarantee
Hours per week: 48

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
Background check within 1 year of start, including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide, sex offender registry
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
Immunizations and health screenings required within 72 hours of signing contract or as noted:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 1 year; chest x-ray if positive PPD within 5 years
- Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Hepatitis B: positive titer, series of 3, or declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/1–5/31) or facility-specific medical/religious exemption
- COVID vaccination documentation required
Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (instant acceptable); plan for completion within 72 hours of contract signing
Annual updates required for background check, orientation safety manual acknowledgment, and skills checklist

Additional Facility-Specific Requirements

Completion of facility-specific forms prior to start (e.g., parking policy acknowledgment, confidentiality statement, code of conduct, orientation forms)
Flu medical or religious exemption forms if applicable
TB questionnaire required regardless of TB status
References: 2 references within 3 years of start
