Overview

• Travel/Contract Registered Nurse role in Gaffney, South Carolina.
• Resource Pool assignment: the RN will be allocated to Cherokee Medical Center and may float to the main campus if needed.
• Open to 48s.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:00.
• Ratios: 1:6.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• First-timers accepted.
• Weekend coverage: as needed.
• On-call is required.
• Locals are not accepted within 75 miles.
• Pending license is accepted, but it must be obtained before starting.
• Block scheduling is not accommodated.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina.
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
• 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association.
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS.
• Must be able to pass arrhythmia and medication testing on the first day.
• Must be able to pass a fit test onsite; shaving may be required.
• One of the following is required: 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks.
• RN license verification is required.
• NURSYS verification is required.
• Acknowledgement of PassFail Testing is required.
• State License 1 Verification is required.
• South Carolina SLED criminal records search results are required.
• Employment application is required.
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement is required.
• Photo for badge is required.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• TB screening documentation is required within 3 months of start.
• Drug testing within 90 days of start.
• COVID dose 1 and 2 are required.
• Flu vaccination documentation or declination is required during flu season.
• Hepatitis B documentation is required.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella documentation or approved exemption is required.
• RespSafety clearance is required within 1 year of start.
• References are required within 3 years of start.

Preferred

• Will review candidates with 1+ year of experience.

Float Scope

• May float within scope to meet facility needs.
• May float to other units within Church Street and Mary Black Campus if needed.

Additional Notes

• All RTO must be included on the initial submission.
• Travelers are subject to an attendance policy; more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation.
