Medical Surgical RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Location: Cartersville, Georgia
• Setting: Medical-surgical unit with peritoneal dialysis and radial band recovery cases
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 12 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Hours per week: 36
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Call: None
• Local candidates: Accepted at the same rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• NURSYS verification
• State license verification
• Background check completed before start
• Education verification
• Work history verification
• Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
• 2 clinical references
• Photo ID
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
• TB questionnaire
• Drug screen within 60 days of start
• Flu vaccine or declination
• Color blind testing
• Compliance must be complete before start

Scheduling and Assignment Expectations

• Must be flexible to facility scheduling
• No schedule requests or block schedule requests
• Maximum requested time off: 7 days
• Must work major holidays that fall during the assignment, based on the holiday schedule provided

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Orientation timing may be delayed by 2 weeks if compliance is not complete on time
