Medical Surgical Nurse

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
36 or 48 hours per week available
Contract length: 26 weeks
Holidays are required
No RTO in the first 2 weeks of the assignment
Every other weekend required
May float to other Med/Surg units, ICU units, and ED waiting rooms

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg experience
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
ED - Emergency Department experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association

Unit Details

Medical-surgical unit with neurological, spinal surgery, and step-down/telemetry patient populations
Night shift staffing ratio: 1:5–6
No LPN on nights
Charge nurse is free when fully staffed

Additional Notes

Equipment used includes EPIC and Pyxis
