Mammography Tech

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Maryville, Illinois
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday
• Rotating Saturdays, typically every 6th
• Caseload: 30-40/day
• Open to block scheduling Monday-Friday
• No on-call
• No floating within scope
• First-timers not accepted
• Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in Illinois
• Mammography Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT (Mammography)

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Breast Ultrasound or Registered Breast Sonographer
• DEXA experience

Role Details

• Performs outpatient screening and diagnostic mammography exams
• Performs bone density, stereotactic and US bx, magseed and wire loc placement, and post clip placements
• Tech will not be required to learn BXs or localization exams
• Should be comfortable with post clip exams

Additional Notes

• Meditech experience is highly preferred
