Registered Nurse - RN Step Down

Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 - 19:30

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Patient care in a Step Down unit with ratios:

  • 3:1 for Step Down
  • 5:1 for day shift
  • 7:1 for night shift
• Tasks include: ACLS, pushing, pulling, lifting, medication administration, assessments, and care plans
• Emphasis on communication and teamwork

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum of 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

• State license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to start
• Annual requirements include physical, fit test, TB test, and influenza vaccine or declination
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Color headshot photo required for onboarding
• Extended travelers beyond one year must complete a health reassessment form
