Registered Respiratory Therapist

Overview

Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

Provides evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
Assesses patients, develops care plans, implements and monitors respiratory care, evaluates treatment outcomes, educates patients and families, and responds to emergency resuscitation team codes.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP Advanced
High school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or associate's degree or technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Life Support
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Additional Notes

Must work within scope of job, with critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
