Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Post-operative open heart care experience
• Chest tube and other drain management experience
• Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips and recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
• Experience assisting with chest tube removal
• Experience assisting with removal of pericardial pacing wires
• Management of temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices
• Use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices
• High-flow oxygen and other oxygen delivery systems experience

Preferred Experience

• Critical care experience

• 26 beds
• Patient ratio: 4/5:1
