Cath Lab Tech

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Snellville, Georgia
• Adults to Geriatrics patient population
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00–17:30
• 40 hours per week
• 16-week contract
• 3 rooms with 5 beds; average daily census of 8–10
• Floating may occur within the department and facility, and to a sister campus

Required Qualifications

• Cath Lab Technologist with 2 years of experience
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• RCIS or RCES or ARRT (CV)
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Sinus node rhythm recognition and management
• Pacemaker experience
• GE Discovery equipment experience
• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) experience
• Impella device experience
• CSI (Catheterization Systems Integration) equipment experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred

• Pacemakers
• Merge
• NIH Stroke Certification, if required for this specialty

Work Setting / Clinical Scope

• Diagnostic cath
• PCI
• Orbital atherectomy
• IABP
• Impella
• Device implants
• No EP studies
• No ablations

Schedule / Call / Holidays

• Every other weekend unless otherwise specified
• Call: 12–15 days per month, including 2 weekend days
• Late stay as needed
• Expected to work major holidays as assigned

• Scrub color provided by the facility
• Full compliance required to start on time
• Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length
