Overview

• Per diem Registered Nurse role in Newark, New Jersey
• Hours vary between 0700-2330
• Shift: Day, 1x8 hours, 7:00-15:30
• 13-week contract
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license at time of submission
• BLS
• ACLS
• 1.5 years of experience
• Scrub and circulate experience
• EPIC experience
• Must float within skillset without exception

Unit Details

• 14 Operating Rooms
• Serves pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• No eye surgery performed

Clinical Experience

• Vascular procedures: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid angioplasty, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Femoral popliteal bypass graft
• GYN procedures: Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy, Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy), Bilateral tubal ligation, D&C, Laparoscopic GYN procedures
• General procedures: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple
• Ortho/Neuro/Endo procedures: Arthroscopy, Closed/Open reduction of fractures, Laminectomy/Discectomy, Total joint replacement, Bronchoscopy, Colonoscopy, EGD, Peg tube placement/exchange
• Robotics: Colorectal, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Neuro, Ortho, Otolaryngologic, Transoral, Urologic

Scheduling and Work Environment

• Scrubs provided by hospital
• Candidates must float within their skillset without exception
