Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Labor and Delivery
• Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract
• 1:2 ratio
• First-timers accepted
• Local candidates accepted

Unit Details

• Labor & Delivery unit with 7 rooms
• Average daily census: approximately 3–4 patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP
• Experience working with High Risk Labor and Delivery patients
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Ability to scrub in surgical procedures
• Ability to interpret fetal heart rate strips
• Experience circulating for C-sections
• Experience with high-risk deliveries
• Experience with vaginal delivery
• Experience with cesarean section
• Experience with neonatal resuscitation
• Experience with fundus, lochia and perineum care

Preferred Qualifications

• AWHONN Intermediate
• Previous charge experience
• Teaching hospital experience

Float Scope

• May float to Mother/Baby
• May serve as the baby catcher
• May support the nursery

Schedule / Time Off / Call

• Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
• No on-call requirement
• One summer holiday, one winter eve, and one winter night will be assigned based on need

• Scrubs are provided
• Epic charting system
