Job Opportunity: Histology Tech

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (4 days/week, 10 hours/day)
Work Setting: Hospital clinical laboratory (preference for commercial or reference laboratories experience)
On-Call/Weekend: None

Job Description

Perform routine and complex histology procedures used in pathology diagnosis.
Assist in pathology grossing area.
Participate in general maintenance of the histopathology laboratory.
Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, no weekends or on-call duties.
Local rate within 60 miles of the facility.

Required Qualifications

Valid Histology Technologist license in District of Columbia.
ASCP HTL (Histotechnologist) certification.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Histology Technologist.
Histology Technologist experience within the last year.
