Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Anchorage, Alaska
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- First-time travelers accepted
- May float to like units if needed
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call
- No block scheduling
- Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
Unit / Setting
- High-risk L&D unit
- OB Triage/Testing: 5–10 patients
- LD/Antepartum: 7–14 patients
- Unit includes 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
- Average daily deliveries are around 7, with up to 14 patients during inductions and high-risk antepartum care
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
- Experience with Epic
