Infusion RN Travel/Contract Job

Location

• West Islip, New York

Schedule

• Day shift, 4x10 hours
• 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 40 hours per week

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Infusion (2 years of experience)
• Infusion experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Oncology experience

Clinical Setting / Responsibilities

• Infusion center
• Inpatient oncology
• Outpatient oncology
• Chemotherapy administration
• IV therapy and infusions
• Blood and blood product administration
• Port care and management
• Infusion pump management
• PICC line care
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Administration of coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, antibiotics, and intravenous hydration/multivitamins
• Body fluid handling after chemotherapy
• IV push administration of chemotherapy

Pre-Start Requirements

• Interview availability must be provided in estimated format for the next two business days
• Driver’s license or state ID with address and clear picture
• Background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Education verification or transcript/diploma
• State license verification
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam
• Physical exam using the facility-specific form
• Fit test with Halyard Fluidshield N95 or 3M 1860 mask
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation
• Drug screen
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documentation
• Skills checklist current within the last year
• Employment history covering 7 years with gaps explained
