NICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Madison, Wisconsin
  • 13-week assignment
  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour day/night shifts
  • Schedule includes Monday through Friday and 2–3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wisconsin
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with post-op patients
  • Experience with g-tubes
  • Experience with trach/vent management
  • Experience with various modes of invasive ventilation
  • Experience with various modes of noninvasive ventilation
  • Experience with Epic

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Wisconsin caregiver screening and BID form required
  • Background check required
  • Employment application required
  • 2 clinical references within the last 3 years
  • Skills checklist required annually
  • Drug screen required
  • TB questionnaire and TB clearance documentation required
  • MMR immunity or acceptable documentation required
  • Varicella immunity or acceptable documentation required
  • Hepatitis B documentation or declination required
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
  • Tdap documentation required
  • Physical exam required by agency standard
  • Fit mask completed onsite
  • Photo for badge required
  • Communicable disease form required
  • E-Verify required
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
