Ultrasound Tech - Vascular (Travel/Contract)

Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Work setting: Adult vascular ultrasound clinic
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days, 40 hours/week)
Call, float, and weekend requirements: None
Patient load: 8-10 studies per tech per day across 4 rooms
Equipment: Phillips ultrasound machines
Unit systems: EPIC electronic health record required
Orientation: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; attendance mandatory with no missed portions
Scrubs: Not provided; royal blue color required
Interview: Manager requires a candidate interview prior to offer

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Vascular Sonographer
Vascular Sonographer experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required
Required vascular ultrasound skills:
- Arterial mapping
- Carotid ultrasound
- Doppler studies
- Peripheral Vascular Resistance studies
- Renal Artery Duplex
- Upper Extremity Arterial ultrasound
- Upper Extremity Venous ultrasound

Certifications & Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification preferred
If not RVT, RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) certification may be considered (subject to screening)

Important Notes

Start date is subject to change based on class and trainer availability; travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation week (start may be Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week)
No return-to-office (RTO) after booking allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation or "do not rebook" status
