Job Description

• Role: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Scrub Tech (CST/OR)
• Must have at least 2 years of experience as a CVOR Scrub Tech
• Preferred experience: Cardiac first and second scrub assisting
• Traveler will float to Main OR for Vascular and Thoracic cases when needed
• On-call shifts: 6-13 within a 4-week period, which may include weekends and holidays
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Shift schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, 3:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with rotating days off

Unit Information

• Patient population: Adult
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Unit beds: 1-2
• Equipment used: Cardiac equipment including IABP, ECMO, Atricure Cryoablation Machine

Required Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (AHA only)
• NBSTSA Certification
• Virginia State License (must be current or in process)

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NBSTSA certification

Additional Notes

• Submission must include work experience as CVOR Tech and Virginia license status or license itself, or application will be rejected
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs; adherence to facility dress code policy required

This position offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped surgical services unit with a focus on cardiovascular and thoracic cases in an adult patient population. The role requires flexibility to float between specialized OR areas and participate in on-call coverage including weekends and holidays.
