Unit Details
- 30 beds total: 22 acute care and 8 stepdown
- Weekend shifts are required
- Experience nurses may float after orientation

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- ACLS
- BLS
Preferred Experience
- Stepdown experience
Clinical Focus
- Acute care nursing
- Neuro stepdown care
- Common procedures include lumbar puncture and chest tube placement
Skills and Work Environment
- Strong nursing skills
- Time management
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Bedside shift report, personal connection, and daily huddle are part of the patient experience expectations
